Welder Fabricators

Lynx Recruitment is working with a leading engineering firm in Wellington, searching for multiple Welders/Fabricators to join their team. This is a hands-on role involving general maintenance, pipework, and welding across oil and gas projects.
You must have full working rights in New Zealand or Australia.
What You'll Be Doing Comply with safety processes, policies, and legislative requirements.
Work in workshops or on-site environments that may be noisy, hot, or dusty.
Interpret detailed drawings and specifications to meet job requirements.
Cut, shape, mold, and weld metal parts to precise measurements.
Join structures and equipment using welding, bolting, or riveting.
Assemble and repair boilers, tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems.
Select the right tools, materials, and methods for each task.
Work with a range of metals, including stainless, QT, duplex, and wear plates.
Set up and operate welding and metalworking machines.
Ensure accuracy and quality control on all completed work.
What You'll Need Proven experience as a MIG Welder & Fabricator, or Pipefitter & Pipe Welder.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read technical drawings and run precise measurements.
Basic computer literacy.
Physical strength, dexterity, and a safety-first mindset.
Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently.
Tools to Bring Measuring tools (10m/30m tape, steel ruler).
Hand tools (chisels, hammers, punches, shifters).
Marking tools (scribers, squares, trammel points).
Welding shield, oxy goggles, clamps, and spirit levels.
Heavy-duty toolbox.
