About the Role
Join QUBE Ports NZ as a Welder Engineer, where you'll tackle repairs, welding, and maintenance of crucial machinery in our dynamic port logistics environment.
Location: Timaru
Status: Full Time Monday to Friday 0700 - 1600 with an hourly rate ranging from $41.20 - $43.26. Because the business operates 24/7, you will need flexibility to work outside of normal hours when required.
Specific Responsibilities
Perform repairs and engineering tasks on machinery and structures.
Provide technical expertise to enhance component quality and longevity.
Ensure a safe work environment and report incidents promptly.
Help with other mechanical tasks.
We need a workshop 'all-rounder'.
You will be required to travel to other ports.
Who we're after:
Trade certified as a Fitter Welder.
3+ years experience.
Class 2 License preferred.
Heavy Fabrication experience.
Documented engineering background desired.
Physically fit with robust engineering and welding experience.
