Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor

Details of the offer

Welcome to The Mayfair , Christchurch's newest luxury boutique hotel nestled in the vibrant heart of Victoria Street. We're all about redefining what luxury means—combining modern sophistication with warm, attentive service. With 67 contemporary rooms & suites, a standout dining experience, and versatile event spaces, The Mayfair sets a new standard for indulgence in Christchurch.
About The Role:
We're looking for a talented leader to join our team in a newly created dual duty role: Weekend Housekeeping Supervisor . With leadership of a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll be the glue that holds our housekeeping operations together, leading by example and ensuring every detail of our guest experience is flawless.
This is a permanent role, with a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours as a Supervisor, and additional hours available as a Housekeeping Assistant if desired, designed to keep things running smoothly during our busiest times— weekends ! So, if you're available to work weekends regularly, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:
Leading and working alongside the Housekeeping team, ensuring impeccable standards in every room and corner of the hotel.
Stepping up as the Housekeeping Supervisor when our senior leaders are away.
Allocating daily schedules to the housekeeping team and ensuring smooth, efficient operations throughout the day.
Inspecting rooms to perfection before guest check-ins—no detail is too small for you!
Rolling up your sleeves and getting hands-on when needed, ensuring rooms are cleaned and serviced to our luxury standards.
Keeping our linen closets organised and restocking minibars so guests always have what they need.
Being a go-to communicator, ensuring smooth operations within the team and across the hotel.
Working a flexible roster that includes weekends and public holidays.
About You:
You're proactive and hands-on, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional hospitality. You understand that small details make a big difference to our guests, and you're equally at ease cleaning a room or leading a team. With strong organisational skills and a sharp eye for detail, you excel at juggling tasks and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your leadership ensures that both you and your team consistently deliver the high standards The Mayfair is known for.
What We're Looking For:
At least 1+ year of experience as a Room Attendant, Self-Checker, Housekeeping Coordinator, or a similar role—experience in a luxury property is a big plus!
Availability to work weekends and public holidays is a must.
Right to work in New Zealand.
Why You'll Love Working Here:
Attractive Salary & Stability: Enjoy a competitive salary with guaranteed hours for peace of mind.
Exclusive Discounts: Benefit from team member discounts on dining and complimentary hotel stays.
Celebrate You: Take a paid day off to celebrate your birthday—it's your special day!
Recognition that Matters: Participate in our in-house reward and recognition program that values your hard work and dedication.
How to Apply:
Ready to take the next step? Apply now with your Cover Letter and Resume addressed to Dale Adamson. We're excited to meet you! Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
Note – All Mayfair Hotel employees will undergo a full Police check as part of the onboarding procedure.
