Te Mahi – About the job
RNZ is seeking an experienced editorial leader to manage RNZ National programming on weekends and public holidays. You will have oversight of two of our flagship shows – Saturday and Sunday Mornings – and drive audience growth for all weekend content across platforms. You will have a critical ear for high quality radio, a safe pair of hands with breaking news and be an effective people manager. This is a new role, ideal for an experienced radio manager who is future-focused and ready to lead change, in line with RNZ's strategic goals and the Charter.
You will:
Know what it takes to make outstanding radio
Have the mana to inspire and effectively lead kaimahi every day
Thrive under the pressure of handling breaking news
Support and put into practice RNZ's audience focused strategic goals
Be comfortable with working weekends and agreed public holidays
Establish and foster constructive and high trust professional relationships across the organisation
