Weekend Climbing Wall Instructor

YMCA Taranaki is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual that can provide a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for all users of the climbing wall, ranging from pre-schoolers to adults.The Weekend Climbing Wall Instructor role is a permanent part-time position of 4 hours per week, rostered between Saturday and Sunday.The successful candidate will require the following skills and attributes:Knowledge of climbing technique, equipment, and theory OR the ability to upskill to learn climbing practices.Experience in a customer-facing role with strong communication skills.A good level of physical fitness.A cheerful and enthusiastic personality.Ability to positively interact with children and adults.Experience organizing groups of children and/or adults.Strict adherence to health and safety standards and practices.An ability to work autonomously.Have a current first aid certificate or the ability to obtain one.If you wish to apply, please email your covering letter and CV.
