About the role The Waterjet Operator works within the Manufacturing department to deliver in-house and subcontract production parts.
This is a full-time role working a regular 40 hours per week Mon-Fri on an 8-hour shift.
Key responsibilities include: Working from drawings including CAD files to precision cut metals, composites, and other materials to exact tolerancesSelecting stock, setting up, and programming the waterjet profilers to cut safely, accurately, and efficientlyChecking production parts for accuracy and conformance using precision measuring equipment and processing associated paperworkConduct regular maintenance, including cleaning, routine part replacement, and troubleshooting as requiredSelect and move stock, including loading / unloading deliveries and stock onto the Waterjets using the forklift and overhead crane.
About you To be successful in this role, you will need: 3 years or more of experience of CNC machining and programming experience with metalsMinimum 1 year of experience operating 3 and 5-axis Waterjet Profilers in a high-precision, fast-paced environmentA relevant qualification at NZQA Level 4 or higher, or equivalent work experienceExperience operating a forklift or overhead crane preferred
