This involves but is not limited to pricing projects, ordering materials, and planning and scheduling operational and project delivery.The Supervisor will coordinate the daily activity of the team, ensuring productivity, efficiency and safety profitability.Supervise the Water Treatment team and contractors involved.Assist in the operation and maintenance of the water, wastewater and stormwater networks throughout the Central Hawkes Bay District as required.Complete the associated administration work in an accurate and timely manner.Participate in the on-call roster if Required.Contribute to the management of the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental.The Supervisor must continually drive for improvement by promoting new initiatives, challenging the status quo and aiming for improved efficiencies and operational outcomes.In line with Veolia Water's Vision and Mission Statements, the Supervisor is responsible for building and maintaining successful and effective relationships with Veolia Water personnel, client representatives, suppliers and customers.Management Systems while applying the procedures in all aspects of work.Comply with the requirements of Veolia Water New Zealand Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Policy Statements, including participation at local toolbox and health and safety meetings.Adhere to all written and verbal instructions, procedures and information issued by Veolia Water New Zealand relating to both health and safety and environmental issues and with all relevant clauses of the Integrated Business Management System Manual.Comply with the requirements of the company business management system and the Quality Policy for drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal to contribute to the company commitment to provide safe, high quality drinking water and wastewater services that consistently meets or exceeds the requirements of the Contracts.The Supervisor is to ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia Water's commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and service Key Performance Indicators and applying Quality and Health and Safety procedures.Report any problems with the business management system, particularly in relation to the management of occupational health and safety, environment and drinking water.Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers.What you'll need to be successfulQualifications:Level 4 National Certificate Water Treatment is advantageous, or other similar qualifications.Experience:Experience in water and / or wastewater treatment and / or water, wastewater and stormwater network operation and maintenance.Previous experience in service delivery and / or trade is considered advantageous.Personal Attributes:Proven ability to maintain accurate work records.Willing to establish and maintain working relationships with colleagues for a harmonious team environment.An effective communicator who can interact and relate to staff at all levels of the organisation, and the client / customers.A self-starter who can work with a high degree of autonomy.Able to lead a team while being a results focused team player.Planning and organisational ability.High degree of personal integrity.A good work ethic.Confidence in own judgement and capability.Can maintain a stable performance level during periods of pressure.Able to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.A practical problem solver.Good literacy and numeracy skills.Willing to complete further training as required.Other relevant skills or information:Computer literate.Current driver's licence (preferably with Class 2).Ability and willingness to work out of hours when required.Required to take part in an after hours on-call roster.Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Health and Safety legislation.A Veolia CareerAt Veolia Australia and New Zealand, you'll join a team of over 6000 passionate innovators... and good humans.
