Our Infrastructure Group plays a pivotal role in planning, designing, and implementing projects that support the growth and development of our region.Te Wero - The ChallengeThe Water Services Planner plays a crucial role in the development of Water Service Delivery Plans (WSDPs).
Their responsibilities include ensuring these plans align with the principles of Local Water Done Well and comply with all relevant legislative requirements.
This involves a thorough understanding of local water management policies, regulatory standards, and best practices to ensure sustainable and efficient water service delivery.Additionally, the planner collaborates with various stakeholders, including local government bodies, community groups, and environmental agencies, to integrate diverse perspectives and achieve comprehensive water management solutions.The ideal candidate should possess:A diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Water Management, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in water services management or a related technical field, ideally within local government or consultancy.Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with local regulations, industry standards, and environmental requirements in the relevant regions.A progressive mindset focused on continuous improvement.If your credentials match the qualifications listed above and you believe you have what it takes, we would love to hear from you.Far North District Council is proud of our diverse workforce and is committed to maintaining an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
