Water Quality Advisor/Technical Assessor Trainee

This position, Water Quality Advisor/Technical Assessor Trainee, has been created for an individual who has the relevant drinking-water industry experience and qualifications (such as an engineering degree, science, or water treatment). The suitable applicant is preferred to have experience working within the water sector industry and be able to apply these skills across a wide area of tasks including compliance auditing, internal auditing and delivering direct services to the Water Sector.  You will work as a trainee to start in this role to support you to learn our orgnaisational culture, system and processes and ensure all services are of a suitable quality for delivery to the Water Sector. 
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENTSSpecific qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience are required to be successful in this position. Other skills, knowledge, and experience may be advantageous, but may not be listed below.EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSShall hold a relevant qualification in Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Environmental Health.Experience in the field of Water Supply, Wastewater or Quality Assurance would be advantageous.A current driver's license is required.KNOWLEDGEBasic knowledge of relevant Water Services Legislation and industry standards is required.Technical knowledge in the design, maintenance, and operation of drinking-water catchments, treatment plants and distribution networks would be advantageous.SKILLS To exercise judgment and to use information to make decisions about people, operations and objectives.Prioritise tasks and manage several activities simultaneously.Excellent interpersonal skills.The ability and willingness to create effective working relationships with both internal and external parties.The ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.Capability to work flexible hours.Ability to review, process and interpret data via excel.EXPERIENCEDrinking water management and/or operations experience would be advantageous.Compliance-based systems design, review and/or implementation.Internal/external auditing experience would be beneficial.Proven experience in managing and prioritising own workloads, including administrative functions.
