We need you to bring your years of managing water & wastewater treatment plants and hit the ground running.
With a high level of technical competence, you'll be comfortable leading our experienced team, managing budgets, ensuring compliance and working with contractors.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $98,940 to $128,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience.
Responsibilities Manage the operations and maintenance of 14 water & wastewater treatment plants across the district Lead technical delivery and manage operations teams, contractors and consultants Be solutions focused - identify new treatment options, upgrades & improvements Work collaboratively with internal teams including the Tararua Alliance and PMO.
Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification relevant to water and/or water treatment ideal but not essential Considerable experience managing the operations and maintenance of water & WWTPs Understanding of local government and New Zealand's water industry Effective communicator, ability to influence, work in a political environment Experienced using SCADA About Tararua District Council The Tararua district is the 3rd largest district in New Zealand.
