With a high level of technical competence, you'll be comfortable leading our experienced team, managing budgets, ensuring compliance and working with contractors.
This is a full-time position with a starting salary of $98,940 to $128,000 per annum dependent on skills and experience.Manage the operations and maintenance of 14 water & wastewater treatment plants across the districtLead technical delivery and manage operations teams, contractors and consultantsBe solutions focused - identify new treatment options, upgrades & improvementsWork collaboratively with internal teams including the Tararua Alliance and PMO.Work with a team of dedicated and respected expertsFamily friendly working environmentSkills & ExperienceTertiary qualification relevant to water and/or water treatment ideal but not essentialConsiderable experience managing the operations and maintenance of water & WWTP'sUnderstanding of local government and New Zealand's water industryEffective communicator, ability to influence, work in a political environmentExperienced using SCADAAbout Tararua District CouncilThe Tararua district is the 3rd largest district in New Zealand.
