Our dedicated team operates across New Zealand, specializing in wastewater treatment and environmental conservationWe are seeking a proactive Process Engineer who is hands-on and passionate about environmental stewardship. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the operation and optimization of our Resource recovery and waste water treatment facility. This role emphasizes practical application of engineering principles to ensure efficient and compliant wastewater treatment operations.Your expertise will be crucial in retaining and advancing our in-house technical knowledge of plant operations.We are looking for someone who finds joy in donning overalls, getting their hands dirty with mud and pipes, and thrives on the challenge of combining hands-on work with technical expertise.This unique role is perfect for an individual who takes pride in both their practical skills and their ability to solve complex technical problems, seamlessly transitioning between the field and the workshop. If you relish the thought of a dynamic job that keeps you on your toes and engages your full range of talents, we want you on our team.This role will be based at our site office in East Tamaki.Your main responsibilities will be: Operation and Optimization of treatment processes. Regular monitoring, analysis, and interpretation of process data Troubleshooting and Maintenance Process improvements Implement solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce environmental impact. Documentation and Reporting of process parameters, operational activities, and maintenance procedures. You might be faced with vehicle complexities and challenges, so we're after characters who are resilient, adaptable and show perseverance and teamwork.You will need Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in hands-on wastewater treatment process operations. Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and instrumentation. Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, and data analysis. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to wastewater treatment (e.g., resource consents, discharge permits). Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
