Reporting to the Contracts and Commercial Manager, you will advocate, engage and educate stakeholders on the solid waste and recycling practices and requirements under Councils Waste Management Minimisation Plan. You will play a key role in advocating and promoting sustainable waste minimisation practices through education to internal and external stakeholders.
Your genuine passion for all things waste minimisation and recycling, your can-do attitude and your bubbly, engaging and educational communication approach will see your success in this position! The Invercargill City Council is committed to the wellbeing and protection of children, the elderly and vulnerable adults. As a component of this position involves interaction with one or more of the above groups, as part of the assessment of candidates, we will require Police Vetting as per the Children's Act 2014 and a Pre-employment Alcohol and Drug Screening test to ensure we are providing a safe environment for our customers and members of the public.
