He angitutanga: The opportunity
We're seeking a 1x permanent full time Waste Advisor to contribute to our Waste Management and Minimisation Plan. Whilst the role is regionwide and requires travel, it will be based in our Albany office.
As a Waste Advisor, you will build and manage relationships and work collaboratively with our stakeholders with a customer service focused approach. You will facilitate efficient service delivery of all existing and new waste management contracts related to the inorganic, recycling, rubbish and foodscraps collections.
Day-to-day aspects of the role:
Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring our work provides our customers with value
Resolving collection escalations and concerns including field work and visits
Conduct timely audits and reporting on our suppliers
Ensure to manage health and safety for our stakeholders including suppliers and contractors
Relationship management and collaborations with all our stakeholders (customers, partners, suppliers and contractors)
The salary range for this role is between $75,000 - $81,000

He korero mou: About you
Your passion for waste minimisation and customer service, coupled with your operational experience in waste management or similar fields, will be invaluable in this role. Previous experience with managing contractual obligations and developing collaborative relationships with significant stakeholders will be key drivers for success within the role.
It would be advantageous if you have a sound technical understanding and working knowledge of the following:
Waste Minimisation Act 2008
Solid Waste bylaws and other relevant legislation
A tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering or business administration is desirable. At least 1 - 3 years suitable industry experience and proven track record in an operational or customer focused environment will be considered. As the role requires travel, a valid and clean full NZ driver's license is mandatory.
