About the Role We currently have an opening for 2 Registered Nurses with a passion for Mental Health Nursing. In these part-time roles, you will be working to area-specific rosters and will combine clinical responsibilities with a 0.5 FTE case managing role.
You will coordinate the people, systems, and resources through a clinical/managerial partnership approach to ensure service delivery is efficient and effective, contributing to the supervision and coaching of team members towards sector integration and recovery-focused care.
About the Service Whangarei Acute Spectrum Specialist Services (W.A.S.S.S.) is a group of community-based teams that provide acute specialist assessment and treatment for new and existing clients within Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora – Te Tai Tokerau Mental Health and Addictions service.

About You Our preferred applicant has:
Comprehensive Nurse Registration and a current practicing certificateTwo years' experience in acute and/or kaupapa-led community mental health practice working with tangata whaiora and their whanauBe a Duly Authorised Officer or be willing to work towards thisProven ability to communicate effectively with tangata whaiora, their whanau, and colleagues, and engage Maori in making choices that enhance their wellbeingDemonstrated commitment to continuing personal and professional developmentCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori, or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives that give effect to Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, with the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
