YOUR ROLE
The Warehouse Supervisor in our freight forwarding facility at Mangere AUK will oversee and optimise warehouse and distribution operations. The role focuses on managing team performance, ensuring compliance with Customs Controlled Area (CCA) processes, and achieving operational and financial targets. This includes safe delivery of service excellence, effective use of resources, and adherence to statutory requirements.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
Lead and manage daily warehouse operations, fostering a culture of safety and operational excellence.
Oversee and maintain compliance with CCA processes and bond register management.
Implement and monitor inventory management strategies to optimise distribution processes.
Supervise and guide staff, including performance reviews and personal development plans.
Liaise with leadership to meet financial and operational KPIs.
Develop and enhance customer relationships while participating in the implementation of new business strategies.
Operate Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Webnotes) and ensure data accuracy.
Promote effective teamwork, continuous improvement, and high-performance culture.
Manage and maintain material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts), ensuring compliance with safety regulations and licensing.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has experience in warehouse supervision, distribution, and inventory management in a freight forwarding environment, as well as:
Proficiency in CCA processes and bond register management.
Practical experience with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably Webnotes.
Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills.
Capability to lead, mentor, and empower operational teams to meet organisational goals.
Bonus: MPI Accreditation – Approved Person (AP) and/or Transitional Facility Operator (TFO); forklift licence (or willing to obtain if needed).
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
