Warehouse Supervisor/Manager

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor/2IC Store Person to join our team at our Quality Bakers site in Christchurch. You should have a strong willingness to learn and ideally have some leadership/supervisory experience. To excel in this role, you'll need physical strength, a keen eye for detail, particularly in safety, and a readiness to adapt and grow.
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday 4pm to 12.30am
Hours of work: 40 p/w
Pay rate: $28.50 to $30.50 depending on experience
Key accountabilities of the role include:

Supervise and lead a team of warehouse staff, ensuring they meet performance standards and adhere to company policies.
Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of goods.
Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee regular cycle counting to prevent discrepancies.
Manage stock levels to ensure adequate supply while minimizing overstock and obsolete inventory.

The successful applicant will have:

Previous warehouse experience with a high element of forklift operation desirable but not essential.
Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising, training, and motivating warehouse staff.
Familiarity with warehouse equipment and machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated storage systems.
Computer literate.
Team player.
