Storeperson / Warehouse team member We are currently seeking to employ a permanent Storeperson / Warehouse team member at our busy Christchurch Container Freight Station.
Fixed working hours for this position are from 8:00am to 4:30pm (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
This role may appeal to those who have experience in a retail/warehouse environment, or those who are keen, and quick to learn.
Listed below are the ideal skills required, however, we are open to hearing from those applicants who may have only some of our preferred skills/expertise as listed.
A motivated person who uses their initiative, and has an enthusiastic attitude will be very welcome, and in turn they will be met with plenty of opportunity for growth in our business.
Key responsibilities: Receive and process inwards goods' orders, and outwards goods to our customers Safe forklift operationMaintain a tidy and clean warehouse environmentProvide outstanding service to visitors and drivers who attend our CFSUnpacking and packing containersOrder pick and packing for warehousing clientsAdhere to/manage aspects of Health & Safety within the warehouse areaFollow MPI and Customs regulationsAssist with van deliveries into the CBD or malls as requiredThe applicant will ideally: Hold a clean and current full NZ drivers' license Have a current forklift license (F endorsed ideal) and warehouse experience Understand retail/warehouse inventory systemsBe physically fit and capable of lifting heavier stock itemsHave a working knowledge or some form of Health and Safety trainingBe an Accredited Person with MPI (preferred, but training will be provided otherwise)English language proficiency is a must and we will only consider applications with a valid New Zealand visa/work permit.
