Waterworks, a distinguished New Zealand family-owned and operated company, has grown to be a leader in importing and distributing piping systems since its establishment in 1980. As they embark on a journey of expansion, with a growth mindset and strategic plans in place, they are now seeking a Warehouse Operations Assistant to join their team at their Mount Wellington Distribution Centre. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong warehouse experience or a positive attitude and a desire to learn, looking for a company where they can grow and develop their career. This is a rare opportunity, and we are on the hunt for anabsolute shining star! Key Responsibilities:  Order Fulfillment: Picking, packing, and dispatching daily orders using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Inventory Management: Receiving inwards goods, placing them in correct storage locations, daily stock replenishment, and conducting inventory counts to maintain accuracy. Container Handling:Assisting with container unloading and storage re-arrangement for incoming stock. Customer Service:Assisting clients with order pickups and general enquiries at the warehouse. Warehouse Operations: Keeping the warehouse organised, tidy, and operating smoothly. Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives. Flexibility: Willingness to be a hands-on player who is happy to help where needed. What We're Looking For:  Physical capability: Able to regularly lift heavy items (up to 25-30kg) as part of your day-to-day work. Strong attention to detail: Ability to manage inventory accurately and pick orders precisely. Positive, team-oriented attitude:You're a motivated, reliable person who can be trusted to contribute positively to the team. Full NZ driver's licence: A forklift licence (or the willingness to obtain one) and experience towing a trailer or operating a vehicle with a Class 2 licence is advantageous but not essential. Tech-savvy: Comfortable using systems such as Microsoft O365 and willing to learn new software, including NetSuite and CloudCoders WMS. Warehouse experience: While previous warehousing experience is beneficial, we are open to candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn. Why Waterworks?
