The Opportunity As the Warehouse Manager in Manufacturing, you will spearhead all warehouse and storage operations essential to our production requirements in Hamilton. In this pivotal role, you'll report to the Logistics and Distribution Manager and lead a dedicated team of warehouse staff.
Your focus will be on ensuring the smooth movement of goods, optimising processes, upholding top-notch safety and accuracy standards, and managing the replenishment of materials for our production lines. Key responsibilities include:
Warehouse Operations: Ensure efficient warehouse activities by aligning operations with business objectives, maintaining timely materials replenishment, and optimising layout and safety practices.Data Monitoring & Analysis: Analyse warehouse metrics to identify trends, generate reports on inventory and productivity, and facilitate informed decision-making to enhance management effectiveness.People Leadership: Inspire and empower the team through clear goals, regular feedback, and professional development opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment focused on performance and growth.Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to enhance warehouse performance, streamline operations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement through team involvement and data-driven insights.The Fit You'll be a proactive problem-solver with strong data analysis skills, excellent communication abilities, effective time management, and the capacity to lead and collaborate with teams to optimise warehouse processes. To succeed in this role you'll also need:
Relevant qualification in supply chain management, business, or a related fieldProven experience in warehouse management or related rolesProficiency in warehouse management software and tools, SAP WMS preferredKnowledge of warehouse operations, safety standards, inventory control, and export regulationsWhy Gallagher?
