To support this mission, the logistics team in New Plymouth is seeking a new Warehouse Manager to join their ranks.About the roleThis position, reporting to our Logistics Manager, is responsible for overseeing and enhancing all warehousing operations in the New Plymouth Region. Key responsibilities include ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and meeting cost, quality, and performance targets for the warehouse. A day in the life of the roleCoordinate and manage the warehousing function safely and cost effectively.Oversee performance of direct reports and their teams (using effective performance management tools in collaboration with HR) ensuring correct processes are followed and staff work in a safe and efficient manner.Lead role in Warehouse safety and lead the SAMs meetings.Inventory control.Minimising waste and ensuring traceability is maintained at a high level.Ensure stock management processes are robust with no losses.Ensure DC capacity levels are maintained at an appropriate level to ensure customer service delivery is not impacted.Ensure all MPI, Food Safety and EHS Compliance requirements are met.Ensure that pick productivity is maintained to or above the required standard with regular feedback to internal and external stakeholders on progress and issues.Management of Warehouse equipment in a cost-effective manner - This includes assisting with tender processes and negotiating contracts.Ensure various compliance training for all staff is up to date.Ensure the Risk Management Programme (RMP) is reviewed constantly and followed.What will you bring?Preferably 2-5 years technical knowledge and experience in FMCG Warehouse Management environment including systems, processes, and statutory requirements.Good leadership and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of lean manufacturing processes and methods would be advantageous.An intermediate level of understanding regarding EH&S/Food Safety practices and processes.Good analytical and problem-solving skills.Sound written and verbal communication skills.Staff development skillsWhat we offer:Competitive SalaryBenefits package including medical and life insurance.Staff sales on company productsSupportive team environmentHow to applyIf you find this role appealing, kindly visit our careers website and complete your application.
