We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Storeperson - Driver for the Warehouse at our Gisborne branch.This hybrid role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats and contribute across various aspects of our operations. You will be someone who enjoys teamwork and collaboration.The Role:Permanent full timeMonday to Friday, 7.00 am to 3.00 pm/3.30 pmLocation: Parkinson Street, Awapuni, GisborneKey Responsibilities:Pick pack - Prepare orders efficiently and accurately, ensuring proper labelling and prepping for delivery.Dispatch - Expedite the loading of trucks in the mornings, ensuring deliveries get on the road promptly.Logistics - Act as our primary backup driver, providing support when needed.Delivery - Safely deliver goods to clients throughout the greater Wellington region (routes will be learned during training).Saturday Support - Process invoices, dispatch trucks, and maintain the office during open hours.Inventory - Rotate stock to ensure freshness, check expiry dates, and remove outdated items.Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse, ensuring adherence to health and safety and food safety standards.Keep products separated, organized, and rotated effectively based on FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.Perform some heavy lifting tasks.Adherence to Health and Safety policy and Food safety and Quality standards.The Person:You will have some prior experience in a similar role; food industry or a warehousing environment is advantageous, but not essential.Forklift License is ideal.Full Class 1 License (manual transmission); Class 2 is a bonus.Some experience in warehousing and delivery driving is required.Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment.Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills.Reliable attendance & transport.A good level of computer literacy skills and the ability to pick up new systems.Prior NZ experience and knowledge of basic food ingredients.Honest team player; integrity and reliability are essential.Attention to detail and clear communication skills.About Us:Service Foods is New Zealand's largest privately family-owned and operated foodservice distribution business.
