Waterworks, a well-established, New Zealand family-owned and operated company, is seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their team based in Mount Wellington, Auckland. Specialising in the import and distribution of high-quality piping systems to pipeline installers throughout the country, with a history dating back to the 1980s, Waterworks has built a reputation for providing exceptional service and support to their customers.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running of the distribution centre.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the warehouse team, promoting a positive and productive work environment.Operational Oversight: Manage daily warehouse activities, including the receipting, dispatch, and management of stock, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.Inventory Control: Ensure inventory is effectively managed, including regular stocktakes, bin accuracy, and the timely replenishment of stock.Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all warehouse operations comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.Container Unloading & Bulk Handling: Oversee the unloading of containers and the handling of bulk inventory, ensuring efficient use of space and safe practices.Customer Delivery Support: Manage urgent customer deliveries when required, including the confident driving and reversing of a ute with a trailer.Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to optimise warehouse operations.Skills and Experience: Proven Warehouse Management Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar leadership role within a warehouse or distribution environment.Strong Leadership & Communication Skills: Ability to lead and inspire a team, providing clear direction and maintaining a positive team culture.Hands-On Approach: Willingness to get involved in the daily operations of the warehouse, while also managing the strategic aspects of the role.Operational Expertise: Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.Driving & Licensing: Full NZ driver's licence and experience confidently driving and reversing a ute with a trailer. A Class 2 licence is highly desirable.Technological Proficiency: Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams).This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with a long-standing reputation for excellence.
