The Opportunity:
They are seeking an experienced Sole Charge Warehouse Lead to oversee the daily operations of their Avondale warehouse.
It will be a very hands-on role, almost a sole charge position, with the support of one other when required. It will involve you performing the normal day-to-day warehousing duties for managing the movement of inwards and outwards stock etc.
Some of your responsibilities will include: Manage the day-to-day warehousing functions, including stock movement, order fulfilment, and inventory management.Coordinate the delivery and collection of containers and LCL shipments.Load containers and LCL shipments (on pallets).Wrap and prepare pallets in preparation of shipment, completing all relevant paperwork.Pick, pack, label, and dispatch daily orders in order of priority.Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately.Organize and participate in regular stock takes and be responsible for accuracy of stock in warehouse.Monitor inward goods and associated paperwork.Ensure the delivery of materials to production lines to suit production schedules.Assist with daily transfers of factory finished products to the warehouse.Work with Sales Coordinator to assess late deliveries, to communicate any delays to customers.Identify opportunities for continuous operational improvement.Cross train the Materials Handler in warehouse operations to provide additional cover.Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.Operating a forklift (F Endorsed). An 8-hour shift – Mon - Fri. Starting time is flexible between 7am - 8:30am.
About You: 4+ years' hands-on experience in a warehousing function, preferably from a manufacturing operation.2+ years Sole Charge warehouse management experience is desired.Responsible attitude. Reliable. A good work ethic.Ability to work autonomously. Enjoys taking ownership of the warehouse function.Effectively manages priorities, displaying use of initiative.Confident computer skills & WHM systems.Strong problem solver, planner, solution finder – glass half full outlook.Ability to see the bigger picture – see what is happening next.Enjoys creating ways to improve the operation and optimize productivity.Values accuracy and has strong attention to detail.Physically fit and healthy.A good working knowledge of health and safety and security requirements.Full, clean driver's license is essential.F-endorsed Forklift license preferred.
