Warehouse Distribution ManagerGreat team and cultureHealth Insurance CoverDevelopment and growth opportunitiesAbout the RoleLeading a small team in our Christchurch Distribution Centre, this is a key role in the business, ensuring that warehouse distribution operations run in line with expectations and targets. Providing a high level of customer service is the fundamental outcome.You will ensure responsible business practices and service levels are maintained and that policies and processes are adhered to. This will involve the safe operation of the warehouse and yard areas, efficient and accurate inwards and outwards goods, inventory accuracy, and site management.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures, monitor staff safety practices, and encourage a culture of safety.Warehouse Operations: Oversee efficient warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, stock movements, and timely resolution of operational issues.People Management: Lead, mentor, and coach a high-performing team. Assist in recruitment, training, performance management, and ongoing development.Leadership: Inspire and motivate the warehouse team, allocate resources, set clear targets, and ensure individual and team objectives align with company strategy.Relationship Management: Liaise with internal teams (Transport, Sales, Supply Chain) to improve warehouse processes and ensure the effective coordination of operations.Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure strict compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and regulatory requirements.
