Warehouse & Distribution Manager About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse and Distribution Manager to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand, overseeing warehouse operations and ensuring seamless processes that support our commitment to quality and efficiency. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain a safe, organised environment that meets business goals and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and implement the future-focused strategy for continuous automation improvements within the warehouse, enhancing efficiency and operational capacity.
Develop and execute a comprehensive warehouse strategy to optimise inventory management, streamline storage operations, and support business growth.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging Lean principles to drive efficiencies and minimise waste across all warehouse processes.
Provide ongoing support, training, and development opportunities for warehouse personnel, preparing team members for future growth and internal mobility.
Ensure alignment with cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Customer Service) to maintain smooth workflows and meet service standards.
Oversee daily warehouse activities, including inventory control and dispatch, while prioritising safety, compliance, and quality standards.
About You
5 years experience in a relevant warehouse or distribution management role.
Strong empathy to work effectively with employees at all levels, fostering positive relationships across diverse roles.
A meticulous approach to managing inventory, processes, and quality control.
A solid understanding and aptitude for Lean principles and a commitment to continuous improvement in warehouse operations.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Lean methodologies like 5S and Kanban, and strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Effective communicator with high emotional intelligence and strong organisational skills, focused on team development and success.
Demonstrates a proactive, high-energy approach, motivating the team and maintaining productivity.
