Throughout its evolution, Stoddart has proudly remained a 100% owned family business.The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for accurate picking, packing, and storage of stock. The nature of the work requires exceptional accuracy in packing goods to be shipped. The role also takes responsibility for container unloading and the (un)loading of stock to and from racking. The nature of the work requires thorough knowledge of product bin and bay locations.More specifically, your duties will include the following:Accurately identify stock on paperworkAccurately pick stockManhandle stock and packagingAccurately measure itemsMeasure and cut timber using a drop sawRecord outgoing stockSafely operate a forklift (if licenced)Willingly accept other duties as directedIn determining suitability for the role, the following criteria are considered essential:Knowledge in packing processes and systemsKnowledge in warehousing systemsSkilled in using hand and power toolsSkilled in operating a packing strap dispenserSkilled in performing accurate measurementsBasic level of computer and technical skills incl.
