We trade mostly in the premium end of the market, we are extremely busy and have some exciting growth opportunities ahead of us. Based in Tauranga, we are looking for a motivated and energetic person to join our close-knit team in this crucial role that touches all aspects of our operation.You'll be a special breed! On the one hand, you'll be organised and methodical, knowing 'where' and 'how' you want things to be to enable an orderly and efficient operation. On the other hand, you'll be flexible and adaptable, able to deal with interruptions and curve balls, keeping calm while you reprioritise your day or week. You'll enjoy physical work, interacting with a range of people and a heavy dose of variety (no two days are the same!).Key aspects of the role include:Picking, packing and dispatching orders – from boxed product, pallets of tiles to full slabs.Receiving, clearing and devanning containers.Managing stock levels of installation products (adhesives/grouts/waterproofing products, etc.)Conducting rolling stocktakes, ensuring inventory levels are accurate.Planning and organising the warehouse and yards to ensure effective storage and efficient movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished stock.Overseeing the upkeep and servicing of relevant plant and equipment.Maintaining positive relationships with Island Stone team members as well as externally with customers and suppliers.Important skills and attributes:Excellent time management and organisation.Positive attitude and a sense of humour.Forklift licence (F-endorsed).A good standard of computer literacy would be helpful.Previous warehouse and/or yard management experience is preferred.Along with a competitive salary, we offer the chance to join a small and lively team who enjoy working hard and having fun along the way.
