Role Purpose:The Warehouse and Delivery Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate management of stock in the Albany branch's warehouse. This role involves handling both inwards and outwards goods, performing periodic stock takes, and maintaining a high level of organization and reliability in warehouse operations. The Warehouse and Delivery Technician will also ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods to customer sites (using company vehicles) and provide excellent service by engaging with end users upon delivery. This role requires a strong focus on accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Key Areas of Responsibility:Warehouse ManagementTidy and efficient organization of the warehouse including new systems and service stock.Proper accounting of inwards goods (receipt from suppliers) and outward goods (dispatch to sales orders). Including unloading trucks when required.Regular stock takes of high value items and periodic stock takes of all inventories.Identification of impending stock outages and coordination with team to restock/reorder.Safe use of warehouse tools including forklift, pallet jack, racking, ladders, etc.Accurately record stock movements using stock management tools like Ostendo and SimPro.Local Delivery of GoodsSafe and efficient delivery of goods to customer sites for local projects (typically within 200km) using company vehicles.Engage end users/customers upon delivery or at time of collection to ensure customer understands the purpose and proper installation/use of the goods.Keep customers informed of delivery schedules and delays.Health and SafetyComply with company health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe workplace.Follow SOPs, identify any improvement opportunities.Identify hazards and actions to eliminate, isolate or minimise them. Qualifications:New Zealand Driver's licenseForklift licenseStrong communication and language skills Knowledge and Experience:Warehouse and stock managementUnderstanding of plumbing, drain laying, or civil construction a plus Attributes:Flexibility and willingness to adjust tasks and priorities based on demand.Strong analytical and counting skills.Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and educate customers.Effective time management and strong attention to detailAccuracy and pride in workmanshipExcellent timekeeping and reliabilitySense of humourAbility to work both autonomously and in a team based environment.Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direct supervision
