Te Whatu Ora are seeking for ward clerk to join their team within the child health service at Whangarei hospital, New Zealand . The Whangarei hospital will provide efficient support, handling data entry tasks and managing reception responsibilities for both the neonatal and paediatric units. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these units by providing essential clerical support. The candidate must have ability to work effectively with the nursing team and other internal departments. This position require the flexibility to operating 7 days a week with rostered shifts within the hospital. This position offers a competitive salary range $ 40,000 to $ 55,000 per year. This full-time position requires the candidate to have previous administrative and organisational experience.
Responsibilities for Ward Clerk: Candidate is responsible for providing efficient clerical support to the neonatal and paediatric units. Ability to handing data entry tasks accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborating effectively with the nursing team and other internal departments to coordinate patient care. Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications for Ward Clerk: The candidate must have previous administrative and organizational experience. It is essential for the candidate to have prior experience working within a health service department. It must possess excellent computer skills, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities are crucial for effective interaction within a health service department. Strong multitasking abilities are essential for allowing the simultaneous handling of multiple tasks in a fast-paced health service environment.
