Ward Clerk

MPA are delighted to be recruiting a Band 3 Ward Clerk to join our team in the Coleraine area. This position will be based in a hospital setting and will have an immediate start available. The successful candidate will provide administrative support including data entry and reception duties.Job DutiesProvide a clerical service to the Ward/Department Manager, Nursing Staff and other professionals.Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail.Continual use of VDU to provide information as required.Order and maintain an adequate supply of stationery as required by the ward/department through nonstock, stock and high-density storage system.Ensure confidentiality is maintained.Ensure adherence to NHSCT policy on Infection Control/Bare below the elbow.Provide emergency cover for colleagues on a short-term basis.Use of equipment within the department e.g. fax, photocopier in accordance with the Trust policies and procedures and maintenance of the same.Report of faults to Estates Department, IT Department and telephony.Maintain a high standard of service including good timekeeping in the workplace as required to meet the needs of the service.Daily cleaning of notes trolleys, phones and computer with appropriate cleaning product as defined by Infection Control.Essential Criteria5 GCSEs including GCSE Maths and English or Equivalent at Grade C or above.1 year ward clerk experience.Further Information3-5 days a week.Pay rate: £11.67-£19.72.Weekly Pay.Holiday Fund.8am-4pm or 8:30am-4pm.I am keen to have an initial discussion with anyone who feels this could potentially be of interest.
