Responsibilities

Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair techniques.
Remove and replace damaged panels, frames, and other components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to repair bodywork.
Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, filling, and priming.
Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
Ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with other team members, including painters and mechanics.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Keep accurate records of repairs and parts used.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and safety regulations.

Requirements and Skills

At least three years of relevant experience.
Structural tradesman panelbeater with I-Car Level Bronze or higher (or equivalent).
I-Car structural welding certificate (or equivalent).
Chassis machine work proficient.
Able to work independently.
Estimating an advantage.
Good work ethic and ability to work with others.
Good customer relations.

This is a full-time permanent role, and the hourly pay rate is between $29.66 and $35, based on experience. The work hours are 40 hours minimum to 60 hours maximum per week, and they are to be worked between Monday and Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. They may be required to work on weekends.
