As an Event Assistant at the 'Waikato A&P Show,' you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and success of this epic community event.
Your responsibilities could include:
Supporting Operations: Assist staff and event partners in various operational tasks, such as customer service, parking, vendor assistance, maintaining site cleanliness, and managing event logistics like signage placement.
Public Assistance: Provide information and assistance to attendees, ensuring they have a memorable and enjoyable experience. This may involve answering questions, offering directions, or managing lines to attractions.
Flexibility: Be adaptable and willing to assist in different areas as required. This may involve covering breaks or stepping in during emergencies to ensure seamless event operations.
Networking Opportunity: Connect with a diverse range of like-minded individuals while making a positive impact on our community.
Event Uniform: You will be provided with a uniform for the duration of the event, ensuring a professional appearance and easy identification by attendees.
Refreshments: Enjoy complimentary food and drinks during your volunteering hours, ensuring you stay energized and refreshed throughout the event.
You will report directly to the General Manager, who will provide guidance and support throughout the event.

Requirements:
People from all backgrounds and abilities are encouraged to apply; we have a variety of roles available!
Time commitment:

Volunteers must be available for a minimum of 4 hours and a maximum of 8 hours ideally each day between November 1-3, 2024.
All volunteers are required to attend a briefing session at 2 PM, Thursday 31st October 2024, to receive necessary instructions and information.
