Velocity is seeking a Vice President of Telecom Expense Management Solutions to lead our evolving and growing TEMs team. The Vice President of Telecom Expense Management Solutions (TEM) will lead the strategic development, execution, and continuous improvement of the company's Telecom Expense Management offerings.This position will be responsible for driving growth, optimizing service delivery, and ensuring that the TEM solutions meet market demands and client needs, as well as overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of the organization's telecom and technology-related expenses. This role includes developing strategies for cost optimization, contract negotiations, vendor management, and ensuring efficient telecom service delivery.Additionally, this role would direct all application and platform enhancements and development. This leader would lead the development roadmap and prioritization-based client demand and market competitiveness.This role requires experience in TEM application development, overseeing platform development and offshore/nearshore teams.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and execute the company's vision and strategy for the Telecom Expense Management division, aligning with business objectives and market trends.Determine optimal operating model for onshore, near shore, and offshore delivery of services and application development (Required).Optimize team design across pre-sales, data gathering, QA, customer support, development, and bill payment.Product & Service Management:Oversee the design, development, and optimization of TEM solutions, ensuring they address clients' needs, increase efficiency, and deliver cost savings.Platform development roadmap and buildout (Required).Sales & Business Development:Lead efforts to grow the TEM business by identifying new markets, developing partnerships, and driving sales and revenue. Collaborate closely with the sales team to expand the client base and maximize customer satisfaction.Provide sales support during the pursuit process.New Client onboarding:Lead new client onboarding and migration from existing TEM provider to Velocity.Drive best practices for data gathering and classification and ingestion into platform.Engage directly with client leaders and project managers for successful and complete implementation.Client Relationship Management:Foster strong relationships with key clients, ensuring service delivery excellence, satisfaction, and the expansion of services. Proactively manage customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance client experience.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing TEM team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the department.Lead developers, QA, Analyst and customer support team members in the fulfillment of our services.Managing bill payments team on behalf of the clients.Manage the P&L for the TEM division, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency. Continuously assess and improve operational workflows to optimize costs and resource allocation.Compliance & Risk Management:Ensure that all TEM operations comply with industry regulations and standards. Proactively manage risks related to telecom contracts, cost management, and service delivery.Deliver Inventory audits and assessments in sales cycle.Market & Competitive Analysis:Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape. Adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge and introduce innovative solutions to the market.Education and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (MBA preferred).10+ years of experience in Telecom Expense Management or telecommunications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Deep understanding of the market, current vendor offerings, market forecast, and managing customer expectations/insights on this space.Experience with Platform development roadmap and buildout.Strong understanding of telecom contracts, vendor management, and cost optimization strategies.Proven track record of driving business growth and leading cross-functional teams.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to think strategically.Financial acumen, including P&L management and budget oversight.Preferred Skills:Experience in SaaS-based telecom solutions.Knowledge of global telecom markets and regulatory environments.Expertise in digital transformation and process automation within the telecom sector.
