Nelson Tasman Hospice provides compassionate specialist palliative care to patients and whanau in our community. We are a charitable organisation with a vision "To Care Always", and our talented and dedicated team ensure we deliver on our vision.
Our Volunteers are a vital part of our team. We are looking for an empathetic, resourceful and goal-driven manager to lead our Volunteer Programme and deliver on some key continuous improvement projects we have on the go at the Hospice.

Full time fixed term opportunity for 6 months to run our Volunteer Programme
Supportive team environment with work from home and flexible hours options
Opportunity to influence strategy development and be involved in continuous improvement projects, including systems and process development
Provide guidance and support to volunteers in a range of roles across multiple sites
Partner with Hospice managers in relation to all aspects of the volunteer management cycle
Ensure that an effective health, safety and wellbeing framework is in place to provide a healthy and safe working environment for volunteers
This role is based in our modern, purpose-built facility in Stoke with on-site parking

You will have experience in leading or co-ordinating volunteers and working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver on organisation goals. Passionate about community engagement and able to see the 'big picture', you will also have a drive to ensure that best practice volunteer management is in place. We have brand new volunteer management technology so you will have an ability and desire to get to grips with this to maximise its benefits for our team and our community.
A collaborative style, strong communication skills and a drive for continuous improvement are key to success in this role.
