Volunteer Coordination & Support (Community Services & Development)
The Cancer Society is recruiting for a part-time position of Volunteer Coordinator based in New Plymouth. This rewarding position offers flexibility and a great work-life balance.
The work of the Cancer Society largely relies on the contributions of our volunteers, who provide thousands of hours of support to people and their family/whanau with cancer.
About the role: This is a permanent part-time position of flexible hours (20 hours per week to be arranged and confirmed with the candidate).
We're looking for someone who can relate easily to a diverse range of people, has an eye for detail, possesses accurate administration skills, and is comfortable navigating around a computer.
Responsibilities: To recruit, train, and oversee the Volunteers of the Centre.
To provide a pool of trained and available volunteers for each area of our services.
To oversee the interests and wellbeing of the Volunteers associated with the Centre.
To keep essential and detailed records on all Volunteers.
