Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is looking to appoint an outstanding individual to teach in our Vocational Pathways Faculty in a full-time permanent position from the beginning of term one in 2025. This is a unique opportunity for an educator with a passion for rangatahi and their pathway from secondary education into vocational training and the workplace. The position involves leading our Year 13 Learning Hub programme, where students have individualised learning programmes based around Bay of Plenty Futures Academy courses and the Gateway programme. The ideal applicant can build positive, learning-focused relationships and enjoys nurturing a team of learners. Experience teaching and assessing unit standards is beneficial. Co-curricular involvement in the wider life of the school is encouraged and an advantage. Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is a co-educational secondary school with a roll of approximately 1100 students. About thirty percent of our students identify as Maori, and we have strong connections with our local iwi, Ngati Tuwharetoa. The successful candidate will be making a commitment to learn or continue learning about Ngati Tuwharetoatanga.
