Viticultura Contracting is a vineyard management company based in Cromwell, Central Otago.
We are looking for a Viticulture Technician/Machinery Operations Manager to join our team.
Role includes but is not limited to: Canopy management of vineyardsYield and maturity analysisPest and disease managementOperating and maintaining specialized vineyard equipmentSpray application operationsOperating mechanical leaf pluckers, trimmers, and mowersPromoting and implementing a health and safety culture within the businessCommunicating with clients on needs and various vineyardsCultivation of successful relationships through the businessParticipate in continued learning, training, and developmentThe ideal candidate will: Hold a current New Zealand driver's licenseBe a 'vine nerd', have a passion for grapes and growing grapesHave experience with vineyard machinery operationsHave the ability to work under pressure and independently in remote locationsHave the ability to work nights and weekends over the growing seasonHave excellent attention to health and safetyHold a class 2 driver's licenseHold a Growsafe standard certificateIf you would like to spend your days outside working on some beautiful vineyards around the Central Otago wine region and would like to progress your career in the wine industry, please get in touch.
