Visual Arts Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 27/01/2026 (Maternity leave)
James Cook High School is a diverse and vibrant learning community committed to doing the very best for our students. Our current roll of 1,600 students has grown considerably in 2024 and with a further predicted roll growth for 2025.
We are looking for a full-time, fixed-term visual arts teacher to cover for a staff member on maternity leave starting 28 January 2025. Our kura provides education for the multicultural diversity of Manurewa.
We are seeking an enthusiastic New Zealand registered teacher with experience to continue improvement at our Kura. Candidates should have empathy and understanding towards our students and their culture, as well as the ability to create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students.
Successful applicants will demonstrate an outstanding commitment to the New Zealand Curriculum and teaching pedagogies.
