We're looking for an effective leader with experience in the Museum, gallery, tourism or creative sectors to join our team.
If you think this could be you - lets talk.
For this role you must have: At least 7 years' experience in a relevant field such as museums, tourism, education programmes.
A relevant qualification would be beneficial.
A demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team.
Exceptional communication skills.
A strong understanding of tikanga and a knowledge of Te Reo Maaori and Te Ao Maaori is preferred.
What will I be part of?
This is a rare opportunity in a leadership role within our Waikato Museum.
You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible experience for our visitors and ensuring an audience-lens is applied to all Museum activities onsite, offisite and online.
You will develop positive best practice for our front-of-house services with a focus on growing our visitor loyalty or satisfaction.
Our Museum is closing for refurbishment during 2024, which makes this an exciting time to join our team and ensure that the visitor experience is front of mind for the future.
We are working toward an exciting programme when we reopen the doors in December 2024, and this is your chance to lead the development and implementation of this.
This job is for you if: You enjoy working as part of a team, but also have the ability to work independently.
You love nothing more than coaching and mentoring your team to be the best they can be.
You are driven by continuous improvement.
You can manage the day-to-day but are driven by the strategic vision.

The remuneration for this role beings at around $105,000 but is negotiable for the right person.
