From grape to glass, we're passionate about wine and we love what we do!The RoleAs we gear up for V25, we're on the hunt for our Vintage Senior Cellar Hands to join our vintage team at our Gimblett Gravels Winery in Hawke's Bay!Working a winery vintage is not an easy task - we work long hours, and it's an extremely fast-paced environment. You would be required to apply your vintage experience and winery skills to:Complete senior and/or more complex tasks in our wineryCoach/advise junior team members and act as their point of contactIn some instances, you may be required to lead a team as wellThis is a seasonal, fixed term role and typically, our vintage requirements run from mid-February to July. Because of the nature of our business, our vintage dates might change slightly, but we will always keep you up-to-date with the latest information as we get it.This role is based at our state-of-the-art winery situated on the edge of the Gimblett Gravels, specialising in the production of Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.About youYou will bring at least two vintage experiencesWinery specific experienceAvailable to commit to the timeframesSound problem solver with the ability to do so under pressurePhysically fit, reliable and a team playerHave safety at the forefront, living our 'Safety by Choice, not by Chance' valueBe able to speak English very well, give and follow instructions in English tooBe able to either lead a team or provide guidance to more junior team membersAct as a point of contact to more junior team members as and when requiredWhat else to expect?We offer $30-32 per hour, the final offer is based on experience.
