Located across the picturesque Gisborne flats, our vineyard is a vital part of our extensive vegetable growing operations. We cultivate 350 hectares of Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Gewurztraminer vines, contributing significantly to the wine production industry in Gisborne. Our commitment to excellence in both viticulture and vegetable farming ensures we deliver the highest quality produce from our stunning Tairawhiti location.
About The RoleReporting to the Viticulturist, the Vineyard Operations Manager will coordinate and supervise the day-to-day machinery operations across our Gisborne vineyard sites.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee R&M scheduling and preventative maintenancePlan and implement work programmesProvide support to operations and field crewsPlay a key role in training and mentoring staffAbout YouWe are seeking a proactive and passionate leader with a minimum of 5 years' experience across all viticulture disciplines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of canopy management, pest and disease control, and a solid background in machinery operations. You should also have experience in scheduling and implementing work programmes, and the ability to manage projects effectively.
