The opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Marketing, the Vice-President, Digital Marketing will bring a unique hybrid background centered in digital marketing best practice to lead a team of subject matter experts (including design, content, social, video, web).
The Vice-President, Digital Marketing will integrate critical thinking, problem-solving skills, creativity and cross-functional collaboration to evaluate, recommend, implement, and optimize our marketing efforts with a strategic digital lens.
In collaboration with the Marketing Team, the Digital Marketing team is also responsible for driving the strategy and execution for our advisor marketing model, corporate marketing and onboarding.
Key responsibilities include: Team Leadership: Lead a team of SMEs to deliver best in class design, content, social and digital experiences for advisor and corporate marketing. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster their professional growth and maximize their performance.Collaboration: Foster and support cross-functional engagement and solutioning across disciplines, the broader marketing team, and with internal partners to deliver against objectives in a measurable way to move the business forward.Digital Marketing Expertise: Leverage your proven expertise in digital marketing strategies to deliver an impactful online presence and engagement with our brand, including enabling the team and our advisors with knowledge and tools to expand capabilities.Digital Marketing Technology Champion: Partner across the organization, building relationships and trust to unlock opportunities to invest in new tools, with the goal of influencing the investment in the development of a nimble and scalable digital marketing tech stack to enable advisors to market their practices.Data Driven: Leverage data to derive meaningful insights and recommendations to inform both resource planning and how we deliver against objectives for advisor and corporate marketing opportunities.Process Orientated: Find opportunities to improve operational efficiencies, including the development of toolkits, and adoption of tools and new ways of working to help the business scale.Innovation: Advocate for creativity and innovation in how the team thinks, the tools we adopt, and how we tell our story across channels.Relationship Management: Build influential relationships through active listening and compelling communication, demonstrating an understanding and care for the opportunities shared by our partners, executives and the business.Competitive Intelligence: Find inspiration across the industry and outside of it, research, share and champion the advancement of how Wellington-Altus approaches advisor and corporate marketing to continuously outpace the competition.Performing other duties as assigned.The ideal candidate will possess: A bachelor's degree in business or marketing; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.A minimum 10+ years' relevant work experience.Experience in the wealth management or other regulated industry is an asset.Deep knowledge of digital marketing to lead a team of SMEs (content, social, web, UX/UI, design, SEO/SEM, journey orchestration, etc.).An understanding of marketing technology and data.Proficiency with the MSOffice suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high emotional intelligence.An ability to act as an adept multi-tasker, with solid organizational, project, and performance management skills.An ability to quickly adapt to changing needs.A reliable, strong work ethic.An ability to work independently, anticipate problems, and problem-solve.An excellent, positive attitude and committed to providing extraordinary service.Conditions of employment: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.Must be able to travel within Canada 0-25% of the time.A background check, satisfactory to the employer, may be required of the successful applicant prior to commencing employment.Wellington-Altus Private Wealth is strongly committed to equity and diversity within its community and welcomes applications from women, racialized persons, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and persons of all sexual orientations and genders.
