We're excited to welcome a motivated Senior Vet Nurse to help us coordinate our daily operations, mentor our nursing team, and support our clinic's growth.What's in it for You:• A fun, happy and busy work environment with friendly, supportive colleagues.• A wide range of medical and surgical cases to assist with, including orthopaedics.• Very hands-on nursing approach so you can actually use your nursing skills, not just hold patients and clean!• Access to ongoing CPD, advance skill training and growth opportunities.• Personal wellness support and access to mental health resources.• Competitive remuneration and generous staff discounts.• A positive workplace with zero tolerance for anything less!Key Responsibilities:• Provide effective support to vets in all aspects of vet nursing, including animal handling, IV catheter placement and blood collection.• Anaesthetisation and intubation.• Coordinating daily surgical schedules: order of surgery, when to pre-med patients and having them prepped on the table, ready for the vet, ahead of time.• Monitoring anaesthetics.• Prioritising patient care and detecting critical care patient needs.• Patient advocacy! Using your nursing expertise to advocate for our patients and ensure top-quality care.• Maintaining a consistently high level of organisation and cleanliness.• Address client inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.Who We Are Looking For:• Qualification: minimum NZ Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).• Experience: at least 3 years clinical experience (a senior and/or leadership role would be an advantage but not necessary).• Tech Skills: excellent general computer literacy. A working knowledge of Ezyvet is an advantage but not essential.• Team Player: Ability to work comfortably within our team, must be positive, dedicated and easy-going.• People Skills: excellent communication and organisational skills.• Compassion: a genuine love for animals and this work!• Availability: Full-Time or Part-Time work.• Reliability: you must be committed and reliable to your role and your shifts.How to Apply:Ready to make a difference in animal care while living in a breathtaking part of New Zealand?
