Veterinary Laboratory Technician

The IDEXX laboratory team is currently seeking a Veterinary Laboratory Technician for a 4-month contract to cover our seasonal milk pregnancy testing. Working in our custom-designed site in Hamilton, NZ, you, as the successful hire, will process high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely diagnostic testing services for the IDEXX Reference Laboratories. As a technician, you will be setting up instruments, preparing, running, interpreting, and releasing results while troubleshooting performance, in compliance with IANZ certification requirements. You will have: A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree. Experience working in a diagnostics laboratory. Experience in serology is desirable but not essential. An understanding of IANZ and ISO 17025 standards. The ability to be flexible and comfortable with full-time hours between Monday-Saturday on rotating day shifts. Experience in operating efficiently and effectively to meet tight turnaround times in a commercial lab environment. A passion for providing exceptional customer service.
