As the Vendor Assurance Manager, you will have the opportunity to create the vendor quality programme within regulatory frameworks and continue to grow its capability as the business builds its national and international supplier groups.
Who You Will Be Working With: As the Vendor Assurance Manager, you will lead a small quality team and collaborate closely with skilled, experienced, and passionate professionals in the procurement, technical, and production departments.
The team is dedicated to maintaining high standards and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in pet food manufacturing.
You will also play a key role with a wide range of New Zealand and international suppliers, working with them to improve and ensure food safety.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.
Key Position Responsibilities and Key Result Areas: Supplier Approval: Manage the Approved Supplier Programmes, ensuring all suppliers meet the high standards for quality, safety, and compliance.
Raw Materials and Packaging: Oversee the assessment and approval processes for raw materials and packaging, ensuring all materials comply with international safety and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve supplier performance and drive continuous quality enhancements across the supply chain.
Experience Required: You should have at least 3 years of experience in the food or related industry and exposure to vendor management or quality assurance programs.
Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Technology, Science, or related fields.
Familiarity with Quality Auditing, Management Systems, and industry standards like HACCP, GMP, and ISO 9001.
