Job Summary: The Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the overall maintenance of all motorized vehicles at the resort.
Essential Functions:
Perform routine maintenance on all vehicles
Troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical problems with vehicles
Operate a snowplow in winter to remove snow from Bolton parking lots
Maintain manual maintenance and repair records and parts inventory
Drive all types of company vehicles in and out of shop for maintenance
Drive vehicles after maintenance or repair to test vehicle's functionality
Maintain shop in a neat and orderly fashion
Maintenance and repair of snowmobiles, ATV/UTV, and small engines
NOTE: All Bolton Valley employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.
Customer Service Expectations: Although customer contact is rare, must be helpful, friendly, courteous and professional in accordance with Bolton's commitment to providing superior customer service.Must also view equipment users as customers, and provide the same high quality of service.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent work experience
3-5 years of previous experience maintaining light to heavy duty equipment and vehicles
Valid driver's license.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and mechanics
Ability to work well with co-workers (internal customers)
Accurate and efficient record-keeping skills
Solid welding/cutting skills
Knowledge of appropriate handling and disposal of hazmats.
Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to bend and twist as required to fix and diagnose mechanical issues.
Work Environment: Work is performed primarily indoors in a shop environment, which can be dirty and noisy. Bolton will provide safety equipment as needed. Occasional outside work is performed in all weather, including extreme cold, snow, wind and rain in winter, and heat in summer.
