Description
To successfully lead the Sales Department Team so that they maximise the sales of vehicles in a professional manner that is profitable for the company and delivers the required level of customer satisfaction. To offer Finance & Insurance options to customers buying new or used motor vehicles.
Knowledge/skills/requirements:
Have at least 1 year of automotive finance & Insurance management experience.
Have at least 2 years of experience in sales (preferably in vehicle sales).
Have a good understanding of the Employment Relations Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, Consumer Guarantees Act, Motor Vehicle Sales Act, Fair Trading Act, and the Privacy Act.
Have excellent computer skills and the ability to understand and use computerised systems.
Be skilled in staff management and staff recruitment, also must be capable of assessing current and future staff training needs.
Have the ability to lead others.
Have an understanding of marketing, advertising, or promotional strategy.
Have strong customer service skills and relationship building skills.
Have strong prioritising and time management skills, be highly organised with an ability to efficiently prioritise and handle multiple priorities.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Hold a current driver's licence, relevant to the class of vehicles being sold.
Maintain and enhance the company's relationships with KIA New Zealand, Peugeot New Zealand, Mahindra New Zealand and our financiers.
Travel for training and new product releases is common; you will be required to fly to Auckland at times. The time spent in the industry is not essential, however it is a distinct advantage.
We are a small team; everyone assists their fellow companions, so it is important that inter-departmental relationships are nurtured.
