You'll spend 50% of your time in the field, providing hands-on crew management, operational support, and ongoing mentoring. The other half will be focused on office-based responsibilities like coordinating schedules and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You'll report directly to the Delivery Manager - Maintenance and work from our Hamilton Depot.The key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:Accurately estimating vegetation work in the Hamilton area.Prioritising tasks based on data and preparing a detailed 1-month schedule alongside a rolling 4-month plan.Ensuring all paperwork is completed to standard and that staff and work comply with all relevant regulations.Building strong relationships by liaising with clients, internal teams, crews, and other stakeholders.Attending and contributing to internal and external meetings.Keeping systems updated and maintaining accurate data records.Preparing reports and ensuring all work meets high Health and Safety (H&S) standards.What we're looking for: We're seeking an experienced candidate who has strong experience working as a supervisor in the industrial or commercial sectors. To be successful in this role, you will also have some of the following skills:Relevant trade qualifications with current practising licenses.At least 5 years of post-qualification experience and proven leadership skills.Strong expertise in vegetation cutting and resource allocation.Familiarity with Codes of Practice, Standards, and legislative requirements.Knowledge of transmission networks and vegetation management.Proficiency in pricing, scoping, and analysing data.Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Field-based experience and knowledge of Northpower/Transpower systems (advantageous).A detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.About us: Northpower is an electricity and fibre network provider for Whangarei and Kaipara, with more than 60,000 connected customers.
