The Top Energy Group operates throughout the Far North delivering geothermal electricity generation and electricity network operations.
Our purpose is providing affordable and sustainable energy for Far North consumers, which we are achieving by transforming the Top Energy Group into a technology-enabled energy company that generates and facilitates two-way energy flow between renewable energy generators and consumers.
We are seeking a Vegetation Control Supervisor to task and supervise a number of vegetation control crews.
Completing parcels of vegetation cutting work, so as to deliver tasks within budget, to quality requirements and with no safety incidents.
Complete Advisory duties by liaising with landowners in order to remove or minimise the risk of interference by the owner's vegetation with Top Energy's assets.
This position will report to the Field Operations Manager and will be based at our Puketona site.
Key areas of focus will be: Planning, organising and allocation of tasks to appropriately competent resources with internal and external contractors Monitoring of safety compliance through observation and audit Identify and record data regarding trees and vegetation that pose a risk to the Network's field-based assets, including the assessment of scale and impact of the risk Provide inspection and quotation services for any other tree work undertaken by the company Monitor and maintain the vegetation fleet as directed by the Field Operations Manager Training and development of the team To succeed in this role, it is essential to have strong leadership skills, with at least 3 years' experience in a Foreman role.
It is a requirement to have an Arborist Qualification or Line Mechanic Certificate, along with knowledge of the Hazard from Trees Regulations 2003.
It is also necessary for the successful candidate to have a good understanding of the Codes of Practice of Maintenance of trees around power lines, power operated elevating working platforms, health and safety in forest operations and have a thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity and earthing.
The successful candidate will hold a current full, clean Drivers Licence, as well as a Class 5 licence.
